Formuler boxes are the enthusiast choice for UK IPTV: purpose-built for streaming, running a customised Android with the MyTVOnline app pre-installed. Setup is the simplest of any category — open MyTVOnline, add a new portal, enter your Xtream Codes credentials from the activation email, done. Two minutes from unboxing to first channel. No MAC-address handoff, no sideloading, no app store — everything you need is on the box already. The Formuler Z Nano, Z8, Z10, and Z11 all follow the same install flow with MyTVOnline 2 (older units) or MyTVOnline 3 (newer). Dreamlink boxes (T1, T2, T3 Air) use DOL2, which behaves identically. • Channels load but 4K streams stutter: enable Hardware Decoding under MyTVOnline settings → Playback → Video Decoder. Formuler defaults some models to software decoding which starves the CPU on HEVC.
• App crashes at startup: clear MyTVOnline cache from Formuler home → Settings → Apps → MyTVOnline → Storage → Clear Cache. Do NOT clear data — that wipes your portal configuration.
• Portal login rejects credentials: Formuler distinguishes between Username/Password login and Login-Required toggle. Make sure the "Login Required" toggle is ON before entering credentials, or the app tries anonymous access and fails.
• HDMI-CEC controls stop working after Formuler firmware update: in Formuler system settings → HDMI-CEC, toggle CEC off, save, wait 10 seconds, toggle back on. The firmware update sometimes resets the handshake.
